Opening for the Season

November 27th, 2020

ho ho hi!

We are so excited to welcome you back to Wilcox Tree Farm in 2020! Since 1963, we at Wilcox Farms have been proud to offer pesticide free, cut your own Christmas trees every holiday season. Being part of your family’s tradition and seeing familiar faces is the highlight of our year!

As we all know, 2020 has been a year for the books. Wilcox Farms is a family owned and operated tree farm in the small town of LaGrange, Ohio. Family and tradition is in our bones. We’re honored to be part of our community and wanted to bring a bit of Christmas cheer and normalcy to your family’s experience while keeping everyone (including our local towns) safe.

Things are going to look different this year. Our top priority is the safety of your family (including the furry ones) and ours. We understand that some of the new changes we’ve instated may present challenges to some and not allow all to participate in our fields. From the bottom of our hearts, we hope that in 2021 we will be back to business as usual (or better!) and we’ll joining you with our hot chocolate for wagon rides, smiling faces and sweet treats. For 2020, we’ll be doing what we do best; Christmas Trees!

Our prices haven’t increased from 2019.

We open for the season November 27th, 2020.

For 2020, we’re accepting appointments BY PHONE ONLY (440-355-4027) for those seeking to hunt down a tree prior to Thanksgiving. Fresh cut trees do have a lifespan so please keep that in mind when booking!

Please take time to read through the list of precautions and changes you’ll see this year to keep all of us safe while on our private farm.  We will be requiring a face mask properly worn at all times for guests over 2 years of age upon exiting of the vehicle. Face shields still require a mask. Pups excluded, they just need to be kept on leash! When in our cut your own fields and more than 10 feet away from family that isn’t yours, grab some fresh air. We’re a family establishment full of kind hearted people and joy, please don’t be a jerk. Masks & distancing will be enforced, no exceptions.

We’re so excited to see you all but still have some work to do before then!

Hey Photographers!

Would you like to take client photos at Wilcox Farms? We’re trying something new this year!  We’re allowing professional photographers in our fields from November 1st until November 25th from 10am until dusk daily by appointment only.

There will be no professional photographers allowed on premise from Thanksgiving through Christmas because of our limited capacity.

We’re asking for a $10/day non-refundable donation to the Lorain County 4-H Endowment in honor of Vic Long.

Victor Long
Mar 6, 1932- Sep 20, 2020

We all knew him as Vic. Warm, kind and personable, he embodied Christmas. The first to greet your family by name, ask how you've been and welcome you to our family farm. For over 30 years, we had the pleasure of having Vic as a part of our family and tradition. He was also a part of yours. We're honoring Vic by doing our best to fill his shoes this year. You won't be able to see our smile behind our masks but we hope you feel the love of the season (and Vic). Earlier this year, Vic was inducted into the Ohio State 4-H Hall of Fame, which was a huge honor for him because of his love of 4-H and the Lorain County Fair. For over 45 years he was an advisor and consultant for the program. We're raising funds for the Lorain County 4-H Program in his memory which can be directly donated through GoFundMe.
